DRIVER
(MIC/D/08/23)

The MIC invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the above-mentioned position.

Required Minimum Qualification and Experience

  • Certificate of Primary Education
  • Education at Secondary Level, if any.
  • A valid and clean Driving Licence for private car with at least 3 years’ experience as a Driver

Key Responsibilities

  • To drive the vehicles of the institution.
  • To keep the vehicles in good running order.
  • Deliver documents and payments, and pick up documents or supplies in a timely manner.
  • To carry out simple maintenance tasks such as cleaning engines and chassis, washing and lubricating the vehicles, topping up battery, radiator, engine oil, brake cylinders and checking wheels’ tightness and condition and to report any defect.
  • To be responsible for the security of the vehicles and its contents (to ensure that when leaving the vehicle, the latter is securely locked.
  • To drive the vehicles to the NTA for examination for roadworthiness.
  • To deliver letters/documents within the MIC or other institutions and to carry out such errands as required within an acceptable timeframe.
  • To perform such related duties as may be assigned.

TERMS AND REMUNERATION

The position will be on the permanent and pensionable establishment of the MIC, subject to the completion of a satisfactory probationary period of one (1) year.

An attractive salary package will be offered to the right candidate(s).
